<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a superior image by coating the surfaces of toner particles containing a bonding resin and a colorant with a specified amount of fine particles of an inorganic compound. SOLUTION: The surfaces of toner particles containing a bonding resin and a colorant are coated with fine particles of an inorganic compound in 5.0×10-7 to <5.0×10-6 g/cm2 average coating weight. An electrostatic charge controlling agent, wax, etc., may be added to the toner and the particle diameter of the toner is 0.5-50μm, preferably 5-15μm. A general-purpose binder resin may be used as the bonding resin. A pigment and a dye may be used as the colorant. The inorganic compound may be selected from a silicon oxide compound, a titanium oxide compound, an aluminum oxide compound, a tin oxide compound, a zinc oxide compound and a magnesium oxide compound. Two or more such compounds may be combined and used.</p> |
