PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave signal relay system in which function monitoring is not difficult even though a failure takes place due to the setting error of the identification number of a slave station device and the installation place of the slave station device is high. SOLUTION: This system uses a relay amplifying device 1 including a master station device 20 and a plurality of slave station devices 31 to 3n and relays radio communication between a base station 2 and mobile stations 51 to 5n. A nonvolatile memory holding an identification code being unique to each slave station device is arranged in each slave station device. Since a controlling means which reads the identification code held by the nonvolatile memory of the slave station device when the slave station device is installed and enables telegraphic message transmission and reception between the master station device and the slave station device by using the read identification code, that is, a control program written in a ROM and a CPU using it are arranged in the master station device, the master station device can accurately read the identification number of the slave station device when the slave station device is installed and can perform the telegraphic message transmission and reception without making mistake.
