摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power factor compensator of an inverter system which is simplified in circuit configuration of a circuit for adjusting a power factor and a PAM(pulse amplitude modulation) function by digital control and thereby is reduced in manufacturing cost and also provide its method. SOLUTION: A power factor compensator of an inverter system is constituted of a rectification section 61 which rectifies the commercial AC power to DC voltage, a choke coil 62 and capacitor 63 for smoothing which eliminates an AC component in the DC voltage, an inverter 64 which transforms the DC voltage outputted from the capacitor 63 to three-phase AC power again by PWM, a switching element Q1 for controlling a charging/discharging operation of the capacitor 63, a zero voltage detection section 65 for detecting a zero point of the commercial AC power, a voltage level detection section 67 for detecting the voltage across the capacitor 63, a ROM 66 which already stores the data with respect to a sine wave of the supply voltage, a controlling section 68 which outputs a PAM function adjusted pulse width, and a driving section 69 for controlling the switching element Q1.
