PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation device having high operability and safety, capable of guiding a user on necessary and sufficient information for travelling in a tunnel, when tunnel travelling is detected. SOLUTION: This car navigation device equipped with a tunnel travelling detecting means 23 for detecting whether the road where one's own car exists is in a tunnel or not based on map information, a tunnel information forming means 24 for forming tunnel information for travelling by an instruction from the tunnel travelling detecting means 23, and a tunnel guiding means 25 for executing guidance based on the tunnel information outputted from the tunnel information forming means 24, can show a user the tunnel information for travelling simply with a good timing, and has high operability and safety. |
