PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily achieve the correcting of the phase of a reproducing clock even when a dropout is generated in reference patterns for correcting the phase of the reproducing clock. SOLUTION: The reproducing clock PLCK generated in a PLL circuit 108 in accordance with the mark signal (TPP) on a disk 101 is normally phase- corrected in a clock phase correcting circuit 112 in accordance with the phase deviation value ERR of reference patterns, however, when a dropout is detected in the reference patterns, the updating of a correcting amount by a correcting amount judging circuit 111 is prohibited and the phase of the reproducing clock PCLK is corrected in accordance with a existing correcting amount.
