PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To commonly design a receiver with standard screen and a receiver with wide screen, to reduce cost of the receiver and to provide more pieces of information in the case of the receiver with wide screen by providing first and second screen creating parts. SOLUTION: This receiver is constituted by providing two screen creating means 111, 112 and a means 114 to store a form of a display and providing information is changed depending on the form of the display for a purpose of simple performance of various kinds of information providing processing such as a program guide. Namely, the simple performance of the various kinds of information processing is achieved by providing only a first screen, combining the first and second screens and providing the combined screen depending on the display form at the time of providing the information.
