PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To model a swept capacity for simulated object by constructing the representation of the swept capacity from a trace generated by the movement of a free proximity entity. SOLUTION: Free proximity can be represented by the corner parts of respective entities belonging to the border of a polygon. For example, the free proximity can be based upon the tangential vector at a certain point as to adjacent edges. A moving vector shows the parallel movement of different entities included in a polygon object. An entity staying on the border of the swept capacity can be traced and included in the calculation of the polyhedron forming the swept capacity. For example, an edge 720 based upon the moving vector 721 is movable with in a tangent zone 521 and can trace the edge 720 and can be used in a swept capacity model, and a triangle 730 which moves along the vector 731 is movable in a material zone 510 and can determine the swept capacity model.
|
