<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a gas insulated switchgear by housing a conductor, which is branched into two branches on the line side in a CB unit and connecting other units to the front face and rear face sides of the CB unit. SOLUTION: A current transformer CT and a circuit breaker CB are arranged vertically. First and second buses 34 and 35, which are connected to a line switching unit 55 via a bus unit 63 and a branch bus unit 57 and are arranged in the vertical direction and a third bus 28 connected to a line unit 54 are respectively arranged in nearly in parallel with each other, on the front face and rear face sides of the circuit breaker CB. In the lower stage on the front face side, the second bus 35 connected to the bus unit 63 is connected to a conductor 30 led out from the lower part of the circuit breaker CB. In the upper stage on the front face side, the first bus 34 connected to the line switching unit 55 is connected to one branch of a conductor 26, which is led out from the upper part of the breaker CB and branched into two branches, after passing through the current transformer CT.
