PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device structure, which is equipped with a light emitting element dipped in a liquid, where the structure can be improved in the required light distribution characteristics and external quantum efficiency. SOLUTION: A lamp module is equipped with a light emitting element 1, dipped into a liquid 4 which is insulating, inactive and light transmitting, where a part of the light transmitting case 3 of the module which comes into contact with the sealed liquid 4 is formed into a curved surface. The curved surface of the light transmitting case 3 is so formed as to surround the light emitting element 1. It is preferable that a mounting part, where the light emitting element 1 is mounted, be made to protrude inside the curved surface part. The light transmitting case 3 is formed of, for instance, glass. The liquid 4 whose refractive index is different from that of the light transmitting case 3 is used as the sealing liquid. An antireflection film may be provided to the part of the light transmitting case 3, which comes into contact with the seal liquid or the surface of the light emitting element 1. |
