PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make measurable the level of conductive liquid in a vessel precisely, stably temporally, and with excellent reproducibility, by using a capacitive probe. SOLUTION: This capacitive probe has a tubular insulating layer 3 having a first surface in contact with conductive liquid and the opposite surface in contact with a second electrode 4, and made of a dielectric heat-resistant material (metal oxide such as zirconia or alumina) sintered at a high temperature, and the second electrode 4 is composed of, for example, a layer made of a fusible alloy selected according to a temperature range where the capacitive probe is operated, which is coated or welded on the opposite surface of the insulating material. The second electrode of the same type used for temperature compensation of a first capacitor is arranged in the tubular insulating layer 3.
