PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial transmitter that can suppress harmonics being a cause to an EMI(electromagnetic interference) even at a high transfer rate. SOLUTION: The serial transmitter is provided with a conversion means that converts a transmission signal 1 into a signal so that number of changing points of the converted signal is smaller than that of the original transmission signal, an addition means that adds conversion information, denoting how the original transmission signal is converted, to the converted transmission signal by the conversion means, and a transmission means that transmits the resulting transmission signal to which the conversion information is added by the addition means.
