PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wire harness using a water- proof insulation displacement housing. SOLUTION: This method for the insulation displacement of a wire with a water-proof housing comprises inserting a wire A into an integrated rubber tap 3 for a water-proof housing C; pushing the wire A into the water-proof housing C and pushing down the wire A projecting from the integrated rubber tap 3 to press fit the wire A between insulation displacement pieces 6, 6 of a terminal 2, wherein the wire A is guided upwardly with push-up teeth 18 having their upper faces inclined, without collision of the wire A with the insulation displacement pieces 6 of the terminal 2 when the wire A is pushed into the water-proof housing C, and the wire A is brought into contact with a stopper piece 17 and stopped in a prescribed position.
