<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV system where a transmission station of the CATV system eliminates the need for revising frequency information for program selection included in program arrangement information in the case of re- transmission of a ground digital broadcast in the CATV system. SOLUTION: A CATV transmission station receives a ground digital broadcast wave, converts it into a CATV transmission channel for CATV broadcasting, and transmits the CATV transmission channel to a CATV receiver R via a transmission line 10. A control section 8 referrs to a frequency conversion table stored in a memory 9 on the basis of frequency information of the CATV transmission channel acquired from an MPEG demultiplexer 6 at program selection to allow a tuner 4 to select the CATV transmission channel corresponding to a frequency of the ground broadcast wave, a decoder 5 decodes the selected CATV transmission channel into an MPEG transport stream on the basis of the selected frequency information and outputs it to the MPEG demultiplexer 6, which outputs program arrangement information to an MPEG decoder 7 that decodes a video image and an audio signal from the MPEG transport stream.</p> |
