PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an installation for road equipped with a light transmitting tube of light-weight, superior in water resistance and durability, and has no possibility of causing electric leakages. SOLUTION: A guardrail 12 is mounted on supports 13 so as to separate a carriageway 10 from a sidewalk 11 and extends along a road. A light transmitting tube 1 is installed on a support plate 14 laid over upper parts of the supports 13. One end face of the light transmitting tube 1 faces a light source such as an LED installed in a light source unit, and light is introduced from the light source into the light transmitting tube 1. This light is emitted from side circumferential surfaces of the light transmitting tube 1. The light transmitting tube 1 is very satisfactory in visibility, because it extends long along the upper side of the guardrail 12. |
