PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimum synchronous detection all the time while applying transmission diversity. SOLUTION: This radio transmitter 1 generates control information including information showing which antenna is used to transmit each slot in a control information generating part 11 under the control of a controlling part 18 and gives the control information to a radio receiver 2. The receiver 2 divides a received transmission signal into two in each slot transmitted from the same antennas (17-1 and 17-2) in such a manner that a controlling part 24 switches a selector 26 on the basis of notification by such control information. A pilot extracting part 27 (27-1 and 27-2), a memory buffer 28 (28-1 and 28-2), a transmission line characteristic estimating part 29 (29-1 and 29-2) and a synchronously detecting part 30 (30-1 and 30-2) respectively perform the generation of a pilot signal for detection by using three pilot signals included in each of the divided signals and synchronous detection on the basis of the pilot signal for detection about each of the divided signals.
