PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability of a contact spring piece by forming a flexible spring part, having a set dimension between the mounting plate part of the contact spring piece and an U-shaped spring part, forming a long spring span from the mounting part to the contact part, and forming the flexible spring part, so as to be bent under pressing-contact load of an object. SOLUTION: In this detection switch, the mounting plate part 1 of one or more contact spring pieces is fittedly inserted and fixed in the slit 6 of the back plate 5 of a L-shaped insulating base stand 4, a terminal 1a at the lower part is protruded downwardly below the base 7 of the base stand 4, a contact part 3 adjoining to the L-shaped spring part 2 is protruded to the front of the back plate 5, the lower end of the contact 2 is inserted in the slit 10 of the base 7 and is pressure-connected to its front end. In this case, the contact spring piece A is equipped with a flexible spring part 8, having a set dimension between the mounting plate part 1 of the contact spring piece A and the U-shaped spring part 2, and the upper end of the U-shaped spring part 2 is engaged with the recessed locking part 12 of the upper end 11 of the back plate.
