PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform both of management by a manger and individual setting by a user by distributing a setting file in which the relation between a real printer and a logical printer is described to each client and allowing each client to refer to the setting file and perform the connection setting of the printer. SOLUTION: A setting file 14 consists of logical printer information 140 and real printer information 141, and the information 140 consists of a logical printer name 142 and an initial attribute 143. Then, the file 14 is prepared by a manager and distributed to each client. Separate setting can be performed without affecting others in each client in such a manner that the client has the file 14 in which the relation between a real printer and a logical printer in this way. Also, even when the manager changes printer configurations, each client can cope with the change by distributing the file 14 due to a mail and web distribution.
