PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of easily managing power for it and reducing manager's working load, and a network system including the machine tool. SOLUTION: A power operation part 44 in the machine tool 40 calculates the power consumption of power lines 41 to 43 and an electric energy calculation part 47 calculates electric energy required between a prescribed time interval on the basis of power data time-sequentially arranged by a clock part 45 and a power data time-sequential arrangement part 46. A machine tool control part 49 outputs motor operation state information, motor failure information or the like to a data communication control part 8. The control part 8 outputs machine tool information including the power data, the electric energy data and state information such as the motor operation state information and the failure information to a production managing host computer by radio communication through a flexible radio part 80, an RF modulator 81 and an antenna 82. The host computer records the information to control the machine tool.
