PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of suppressing a temperature rise, while preventing foreign matters from mixing in. SOLUTION: This luminaire is equipped with an upper cover 11 and a lower cover 12. The upper cover 11 has a substantially bowl-shaped upper drum part 11a, with its opening surface downside and an upper flange part 11b outwardly extending over the whole circumference from a peripheral part of the opening surface of the upper drum part, while the lower cover 12 has a substantially bowl-shaped lower drum part 12a with its opening surface upside for covering the opening surface of the upper drum part 11a and a lower flange part 12b, extending outwardly over the whole circumference from a peripheral part of the opening surface of the lower drum part. The upper cover 11 is connected to the lower cover 12, a lighting component 14 for lighting a lamp is housed in an internal space A formed between the upper cover 11 and lower cover 12, and the lamp is disposed near the lower cover.
