PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain stable electrifying processing over a long term and to always obtain an excellent image by supplying electrification accelerating particles to an electrifying member from a developing means side. SOLUTION: An electrifying sponge roller 2A is rotatably born and supported on an edge side of a supporting member 9 freely turned centering around a center axial line O of an image carrier 1. A control circuit part controls a driving mechanism of the member 9 in specified sequence so as to perform such position switching control that the member 9 is rocked and moved counterclockwise to set the roller 2A to a 1st position R1 where the roller 2A is separated from a developing sleeve 4a of a developing device 4 by a specified distance and the member 9 is rocked and moved clockwise to set the roller 2A to a 2nd position R2 where the roller 2A is brought into contact with the sleeve 4a through a developer thin layer Ta. Developer T and the electrification accelerating particles Z are moved between the roller 2A and the sleeve 4a by the relation of potential between the roller 2A and the sleeve 4a in a state where the roller 2a is at the 2nd position R2. |
