PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain soot from collecting in a helical pipe and to lower a flame temperature by enhancing cooling capacity. SOLUTION: In this apparatus, a liquid material is vaporized in a helical pipe 23 to become material gas. The material gas is reacted in a catalyst bed 26b after it passes through a heated pass 25, so that it is changed into a reformed gas, of which main component is hydrogen. Hence, a construction such that the helical pipe 23 is placed at a position slight apart from a burner 21 and the helical pipe 23 has a number of borings on itself to spout out the liquid material in the axial ad downward direction of the helical pipe 23 allows liquid material flame to be spouted out. This causes the flame temperature to be lowered, which makes it possible to suppress liberation of carbon, so as to make it hard for soot collect. For the same reason, a flame temperature can easily be maintained in a compact structure. |
