PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the change of a frame rate by a memory capacity which can be incorporated in an IC required for image compression by intermittently suspending the original vibration of a circuit generating vertical/horizontal pulses, synchronizing/reference signals, electronic shutter pulses, etc., for driving an image pickup element. SOLUTION: An original vibration control circuit 16 for inputting original vibration input outputted from a crystal oscillator decides the suspending timing of original vibration by a control signal inputted from a horizontal cycle pulse generating circuit 18 and a vertical period pulse generating circuit 19 and decides the suspending period of the original vibration by a frame rate set value obtained by decoding a frame rate control signal inputted from an external I/F by an external I/F circuit. An internal clock including a suspending period outputted by the circuit 16 is supplied to a horizontal driving pulse generating circuit 17, the circuit 18 and an electronic shutter pulse generation circuit 20. |
