PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate crosstalk between signals and to prevent the deterioration of the signal when networks different in wavelength interval and signal speed are connected to each other by converting the signal speed and optical signal wavelength of the optical signal from the node of the first optical network and inserting a repeating device into the node of the second optical network. SOLUTION: In two ring networks A and B, signal speeds and signal intervals are made different and they are connected with a network repeating device 2. In the network A, the signal of 10 Gb/s, 32 wave and 100 GHz interval flows. In the network B, the signal of 2.4 Gb/s, 128 wave and 25 GHz interval flows. When the optical signal from the network A is directly connected to the network B, the band width ±30 Gb/s of the 10 Gb/s signal is caught by the adjacent channel and crosstalk occurs. Thus, transmission quality is deteriorated. In the repeating part 2-1 of the network repeating device 2, the 10 Gb/s signal is converted into the four-wave of 2.5 Gb/s and is connected to the network B. |
