PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to safely and easily remove jammed paper by easily opening the carrying path of a unit without directly exposing a high temperature part in the unit. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, a fixing unit 110 which has a cover part 112 freely opened/closed and where a recording paper carrying path 118 is exposed when the cover part 112 is opened is provided with an attachable/ detachable inner cover 115 on the inside, and the outside of the cover 115 forms the path 118 and the inside thereof covers over a fixing roller 113 and holds an oil coating roller 117 coating the roller 113 with oil.
