PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) which is suitable for mass-production and temperature-control voltage characteristic which can be obtained simply. SOLUTION: This crystal oscillator is provided with a flash memory 4 configuring a control table, a 4-point data entry section 7 that enters control voltage data with respect to at least 4-point different temperature data to a control section 6, a 4-point data storage section 8 that stores the 4-point data, an arithmetic section 9 that calculates a cubic curve on the basis of the 4-point data, a cubic curve storage section 10 that stores the cubic curve, and a control data write section 11 that calculates control voltage data, corresponding to prescribed temperature data and writes the data to the flash memory 4. Then the 4-point data entry section 7 enters the control voltage data, with respect to the 4-point temperature data, that are measured in advance to write the control voltage data corresponding to the prescribed temperature data to the flash memory 4. Thus, four points for measuring temperature are sufficient, and the manufacture cost can be reduced.
