PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding ball and a mounting structure of the holding ball suitable for the operation lever for a TV game machine, a pachinko slot machine or the like, presenting a ball which will not loosen even during a strenuous raising push down operation, securing a certain and solid mounting structure for the holding ball, and not impairing the sense of touch. SOLUTION: A holding ball 20 is provided with a spherical holding ball body 21, a metal nut member 21 embedded into the holding body 21, and a recessed part 24 which is provided at an entrance of a threaded hole 23 and having a diameter larger than that of the threaded hole 23. Fastening a male screw part 31 at a top end part of an operation stick 30 into the threaded hole 23 of the holding ball 20 through a spring washer 32 eliminates looseness between them, and storing the spring washer 32 in the recessed part 24 prevents the finger cushion or the palm from coming into contact with the washer 32, thereby preventing the holding ball 20 from loosening, after a repeated raising push down operation while providing satisfactory sense of touch.
