PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magazine insertion port opening and closing device which is capable of automatically blocking an open sliding door. SOLUTION: The front surface of the magazine insertion port 3a provided in a decorative plate 3 is covered with an outer door 4 and an inner door 5. When either of the outer door 4 or the inner door 5 is moved, the other moves in the same direction linked therewith because of the connecting structure between first and second door plates 6, 7, a gear damper 8 and the doors 4, 5 using a rack plate 9. A lock link 12, which is energized in the locked direction by a lock spring 13, locks the doors 4, 5 in the open state via the first door plate 6. When the doors 4, 5 are to be blocked, a motor 15 is rotated, thereby rotating a cam gear 19, or the outer door 4 is slightly moved in the blocking direction by hand, thereby releasing the lock link 12. The doors 4, 5 are thus blocked with a door spring 11.
