摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid metal reactor provided with a passive natural circulation decay heat removal system capable of preventing corrosion due to humid salt-included air and a significant loss-of-coolant accident even in the case of double vessel rupture. SOLUTION: A reactor includes a heat removal system 130. The heat removal system 130 is composed of a guard vessel 72 practically surrounding each containment 68 with intervals, at least, one inlet introduction pipe 116 connecting to the surrounding air in the exterior of the reactor, and at least, one outlet introduction pipe 118 connecting to the surrounding air in the exterior of the reactor. A heat transfer fluid path is formed with them. The heat removal system 130 includes at least, one heat exchange 120 provided in the flow path to raise the temperature of air coolant so as to maintain the temperature of the air coolant higher than the dew point when the air coolant flows in the path.
