PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to tightly and surely grasp a camera body of a flat and rectangular parallelepiped shape by simple constitution even when the longitudinal direction of the camera body is set up to a vertical direction by turning the objective face of an image pickup lens arranged on one side of a thickness face along the longitudinal direction of the camera body to an object. SOLUTION: An auxiliary grip member 20 is arranged on a part up to the end part of the thickness face of the camera body along the longitudinal direction which is arranged on the right side of a vertical position release button 13 on a horizontal position looked from the object side so as to be slid in a prescribed range along the longitudinal direction. The member 20 extends the thickness face of the camera body along the longitudinal direction in a state projected from the corner part of the camera body and increases a gripping face when a photographer grips the camera body set up on the vertical position by the right hand. When the member 20 is returned, the member 20 can be stored in the rectangular parallelepiped shape range of the camera body.
