PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of displaying a suitable navigation image corresponding to the road condition ahead. SOLUTION: A processing control part 5 reads out a target map information from a CD-ROM 3 according to the present position of one's own car acquired from a GPS module 2, and plots a navigation image on the whole region of a front wide region and a center region of a display memory 7. If the processing control part 5 judges that a guidance course is included in the upper-half region of the front wide region, the processing control part 5 selects the front wide region as a target region and displays a navigation image of front wide display on a display part 8. On the other hand, if the processing control part 5 fudges that the guidance course is not included in the upper-half region of the front wide region, the processing control part 5 selects the center region as the target region and displays a navigation image of center display on the display part 8. |
