<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light shutter device in which an electric field is effectively applied on each optical shutter element and driving voltage can be determined low by using a flat substrate which is easily produced. SOLUTION: In the light shutter device, a pair of embedded electrodes 15, 17 facing each other are disposed on the surface of a planar substrate 10 consisting of PLZT, with the electrodes in a perpendicular direction to the substrate surface, and surface electrode 16, 18 are formed thereon. The embedded electrodes I5, 17 are formed at specified positions of the substrate 10 by reduction treatment, or by filling recesses formed at the specified positions with an electrically conductive material.</p> |
