PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the recognition and acceptance of all documents even without previously registering a recognition algorithm or character dictionary for recognizing documents to be handled in a device. SOLUTION: When an automatic transaction device 1 is disabled in the automatic recognition of a document, the document is recognized automatically or by an operator in a recognition server 15 of a center system 12 and information is inputted from an input part 18 so that the document, which is not previously registered in the automatic transaction device 1, can be accepted. Further, when the document can be recognized automatically or by the operator on the side of the center system 12, the recognition algorithm or character dictionary required for recognizing that document is transferred through an ISDN 21 or LAN 20 to the automatic transaction device 1 and learnt so that the automatic transaction device 1 can automatically recognize that document in the following transactions. |
