SOLUTION: In a clock distribution method in an optical wave multiplex network that transfers information via an optical cross connector OXC and an optical wavelength multiplex terminal station device OLT, an electric signal in the optical cross connector OXC is replaced with a clock from a reference clock supply device CSM, converted into an optical signal, multiplexed, and the optical wavelength multiplex terminal station device OLT extracts the clock from the transmission line frequency of the optical signal sent from the optical cross connector OXC.
