PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the hysteresis width of a threshold, to surely enable hysteresis operation without depending on input signal level and to enable high speed operation. SOLUTION: In a hysteresis generation system for a comparator for generating hysteresis off the threshold of the comparator, this system is provided with a current adding circuit 1 for amplifying an input signal, adding the current of the amplified input signal and a current corresponding to the hysteresis width and outputting a logic signal formed from a voltage drop, based on the added current and a hysteresis generating circuit 2 for forming a current which corresponds to the hysteresis width by forming the output signal of the comparator on the basis of the logic signal outputted from the current adding circuit, dividing the voltage of the amplitude of the output signal and feeding the voltage divided output signal back to the current adding circuit.
