<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate erroneous judgment in the case of distance measurement of an object to be detected. SOLUTION: A light projecting part 11 and a light receiving part 12 are installed on a holder 1 formed of white polycarbonate resin. A light projecting lens 3 and a light emitting element 2 are arranged in a light projecting room 11a installed in the light projecting part 11. A light receiving lens 4 and a photo detecting element 5 are arranged in a light receiving room 12a installed in the light receiving part 12. Out of wall surfaces of the light projecting room 11a and the light receiving room 12a, wall surfaces irradiated with a light are light reflection promoting surfaces 11b, 12b promoting light reflection, which are smooth surfaces or painting surfaces coated with white coating material or inner surfaces of auxiliary members formed as individual components of aluminum.</p> |
