THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE DETECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image detection device which can maintain high accuracy for distance measurement even when both distance measurement finding using light and optical communications using space as a transmission medium. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image detection device is provided with a light emitting device for distance measurement 14 and a light emitting device for communication 21 which apply laser beams whose wavelengths are different. An optical filter 23 which transmits a wavelength region of laser beam for distance measurement but absorbs a wavelength of laser beam for communication is provided at the front of an image pick-up lens 11. A light receiver 47 to detect laser beam for communciation is connected with a computer 46. The light emitting device for distance measurement 14 and the light emitting device for communication 21 are simultaneously driven toward a subject and the light receiver 47. The laser beam for distance measurement reflected from the subject is received by a CCD 10 through the optical filter 23 and a distance is detected. A data memorized in a memory is transmitted to the computer 46 by a light emitting operation of the light emitting device for communication 21.
