PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a slider, to which a magnetic head element is attached, to a recording/reproducing position on a rotating hard disk. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a slider 43 in which a magnetic head element 42 is attached to its top end part, a head supporting arm 44 in which the slider 43 is attached to its top end part and energized in the direction of a hard disk 5, and a ramp member 61 for guiding the slider 43, which is attached to the head supporting arm 44, from a stand-by position to the recording/reproducing position where information signals are recorded/ reproduced for the hard disk 5; the device is also provided with a magnetic head mechanism for recording or reproducing information signals on the rotating hard disk 5, while the ramp member 61, in moving the slider 43 between the stand-by position and the recording/reproducing position, pushes up the head supporting arm 44 in a twisted state so that one end on the upstream side of the slider 43 relative to the rotary direction of the hard disk 5 faces with the upper side up against the hard disk 5.
