<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reducing means of power consumption of a power reducing mobile station and a mobile station in which burn-in of display elements is reduced. SOLUTION: When there exists no need for the entire display elements and a limited amount of information is to be displayed on a display element A1 having turned on switches, the switches of a portion of the liquid crystal display elements (LCD) of a mobile station are turned off. For example, the switches of a certain row having display elements in a power saving mode are turned off. When information is to be displayed on all display elements, switches of display elements, which are to be used for the display, are turned on. The above operations are made possible by driving a liquid crystal control circuit (DC) that supports the division of the display elements.</p> |
