摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a specific value without requiring expensive load cells and pressure sensors for reading the specific value such as a load in a crimping process by detecting the deformation amount of components including a ram and a frame for a terminal crimping device, as the specific value. SOLUTION: A cut out portion 11a is provided in a ram 11, so that a lower block 11A can be fluctuated vertically from an upper block 11B corresponding to a load on the ram 11 with the elasticity of a connection 11C. One detector 100 is fixed to the upper block 11B, as a specific value detecting means. A probe 100a of the position detector 100 is put in contact with the upper face 11A-1 of the lower block 11A. The position detector 100 is connected to a crimping failure detector B. The displacement amount of the lower block 11A, namely, the vertical deformation amount of the ram 112, is detected through the output of the position detector 100 by the crimping failure detector B and the detected displacement amount is defined as the specific value in a crimping process.
