PURPOSE: A combiner connected to an ISDN capable of facsimile data transmission/receipt and data communication is provided to connect to the ISDN to offer a transmission/receipt function of the facsimile data using G3 and G3C protocols, connect to a computer to receive printing, scanning, and computer facsimile functions, and connect to the Internet through an ISP(Internet Service Provider) to receive a communication service. CONSTITUTION: A computer interface unit(50) transmits dialing information for the transmission of facsimile data transmitted from a computer and a data communication to a combiner, transmits communication data received through an ISDN to the computer, and transmits the communication data transmitted through the ISDN to the combiner. An ISAC(ISDN Subscriber Access Controller)(100) performs layer 1, layer 2, and layer 3 protocols for access control with the ISDN using dialing information, receives the communication data and the facsimile data from the ISDN at the first transmission speed(64Kbps), and transmits the communication data and the facsimile data to the ISDN at the first transmission speed. An SIO(Serial Input Output) device(90) converts the communication data transmitted from the computer and the facsimile data transmitted from the combiner into serial data, transmits the serial data to the ISAC(100) at the second transmission speed(768Kbps), and receives the communication data and the facsimile data converted as the serial data with the second transmission speed. An ISDN line interface unit(110) interface the facsimile data and the communication data transmitted/received between the ISAC(100) and the ISDN.
