PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the partial lowering of image density, image blurring and the lowering of image quality due to filming even after repeated use by disposing a surface layer containing polystyrene resin and an electric charge transferring material. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor used in an electrophotographic device with no cleaning mechanism has a surface layer containing polystyrene resin and an electric charge transferring material. The photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer on an electrically conductive substrate. The substrate is not particularly limited and may be a metallic sheet comprising a metal such as aluminum, its alloy, steel, iron or copper. The photosensitive layer is preferably a function-separated layer obtained by laminating an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring as the surface layer from the viewpoint of sensitivity. The electric charge generating layer contains an electric charge generating material which generates an electric charge when exposed or further contains a resin binder if necessary. |
