SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEDIA PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate an optional isochronous processing algorithm with a general-purpose media processing system by providing the media processing system with a controller which accepts the requests, a data dump component and a component which answers the controller. SOLUTION: An application server 109 receives the meta-data in response to the contents requests of a client, and a player 104 sets a control session to the component of a control server 110 by means of meta-data. The server 110 translates the request of the player 104 that is received in the control session into an operation which executes the component of a data pump 111. The pump 111 functions to extract the media data from a file system 112, an encoder device or a device that is connected to a network and also to send the data to the client when an isochronous stream passes through a network subsystem 108.
