PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade the expansion of air in an oil applying roller by a ventilation hole and to prevent oil leakage from the ventilation hole. SOLUTION: This oil applying roller is constituted so that the outside circumferential surface thereof is covered with a porous film 203 through which oil infiltrated into a sponge 201 oozes to the surface of the roller. Besides, one end part of the oil applying roller is hermetically sealed by a seal flange 102 and only the seal flange 102 of the other end part is provided with an air path 205 for relieving the air in the oil applying roller through an oil pan 204.
