PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To render a photosensitive layer sufficiently thick irrespective of the limit of structure and to render light absorption efficiency high to enhance potential contrast. SOLUTION: This electrophotograpohic photoreceptor is characterized by arranging the sufficiently thick photoconductive layer 3 composed of a liquid crystalline organic semiconductor and a dielectric layer 4 on electrolode substrates 1, 2, and the liquid crystalline organic semiconductor material is low as compared with inorganic semiconductors, such as silicon, in photoconductive characteristics, whereas it has comparatively high photoconductive characteristics as the organic materials, and moreover, any problems on forms and structures do not occur at all. |
