PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system and a car navigation method judging the reduction of the air pressure of tires and guiding a driver to a gasoline station safely and accurately without hindering the consciousness of the driver for driving. SOLUTION: This car navigation system is provided with a memory medium 8 storing a database on a road map, a vehicle position detecting device 7 detecting the position of a driver's vehicle by use of a GPS receiver 7a, a vehicle speed sensor 7b, and a direction sensor 7c, an air pressure monitoring device 4 monitoring the air pressure of tires, an input device 3 such as a keyboard inputting a departure point and a destination or the like, a display device 6 displaying the position of the vehicle together with road map information on a display screen 6b, a sound output device 2 such as a speaker 2a outputting sound information, and an information processing device 5 having a microprocessor provided with a CPU 5a and ROM 5b, RAM 5c as its memory and work areas and controlling the whole system. |
