PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic pbotoreceptor capable of forming an image from the first revolution and small in double charge. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by laminating a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate, and this charge generating layer contains a phthalocyanine composition and a benzoquinolinole beryllium complex, and this phthalocyanine composition comprising titanylphthalocyanine and chloroindium phthalocyanine has main diffraction peaks in Bragg (2θ+0.2 deg.) angles of 17.9 deg., 24.0 deg., 26.2 deg., and 27.2 deg. in the X-ray diffraction spectra of CuKα.
