PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute input - output processing on the basis of an input - output request for an application under a dual restructure by allowing a copying means and a duplex control means to respectively access a shared table before starting processing to confirm the processing state of the opposite side and to control the processing. SOLUTION: A shared table 3 stores a flag showing the on/off of the processing of a copying means 1 and a counter showing the on/off of the processing of a duplex control means 2, and the ON or OFF of a flag showing the in-process of the respective means or the 0 or 1 or more of the counter are shown on the table 3 to which both the means 2 and 3 can be accessed. Then, the both means respectively access the table 3 before starting processing to confirm the driving state of the opposite side and confirm the state of the opposite side. Thus, the writing of an application and a system onto disk media D0 and D1 can securely and speedily be performed without making the writing wait until a duplex restructure is completed.
