PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid influence of a noise generated in a light source used for a surface light source unit in a display device provided with the surface light source unit. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a back light 40 and a display panel 14. The back light 40 is provided with a fluorescent light tube 50 disposed along one end face 45 of a light guide plate 44. The liquid crystal display panel 14 has a display region 30, a circuit region 70 formed around the display region 30, and an input terminal 24. The light guide plate 44 is disposed corresponding to the whole display region 30 of the liquid crystal display panel 14. The circuit region 70 contains at least either a driving circuit or a signal circuit. The circuit region 70 and the input terminal 24 are disposed in the region except for the region along a specified one side line of the display region 30. The fluorescent light tube 50 is disposed on one end face 45 of the light guide plate 44 and at the position corresponding to the aforementioned specified side line of the display region 30.
