<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the generation output by reducing ripple of the rectified output caused by the existence of a neutral point diode and by suppressing excessive generation of heat. SOLUTION: This AC generator consists of a first and a second stator winding 16-1, 16-2 and a rectifier equipment. Each of the stator windings 16-1, 16-2 is constituted of a set of three windings which are Y-connected on one and the same stator core so that the windings in each set may have a 30 deg. phase difference from each other. The rectifier equipment consists of a first and a second rectifier RF1, RF2 which rectify the currents of respective phases taken out from the ends of each stator winding 16-1, 16-2 and the neutral point current taken out from a neutral point of each stator winding 16-1, 16-2 and then output the rectified currents. The rectifier equipment combines the outputs of the rectifiers RF1, RF2 and then outputs the combined current from an output terminal T. Diodes 23-1, 25-1 for rectification and neutral point diodes 23-1N, 25-1N of the first rectifier RF-1 and diodes 23-2, 25-2 for rectification and neutral point diodes 23-2, 25-2 of the second rectifier RF-2 are disposed in one and the same heat sink.</p> |
