PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a function transmitting a signal to switch a synthesizer of a master set side with an inexpensive communication means that automatically recognizes a visitor and uses a power line in common onto the interphone system. SOLUTION: Fingerprint recognition means 2, 3 are provided to an interphone slave set 10, the interphone system is provided with a communication means that encodes a collation result between a fingerprint pattern and fingerprint data entered by the fingerprint recognition means 2, 3 and communicates a collation code. A pulse signal negative to a specified voltage used for a synchronizing pulse signal and a code modulated to a pulse signal positive from the specified voltage are supplied through a connection cable connected to a master set, power is supplied to the slave set 10 and the code signal is superimposed on the communication signal and the resulting signal is sent to the master set 30, the power supply to the slave set 10 and the signal transmission are communicated by two signal lines, a collation code is received and the interphone system is provided with a synthesizer or a voice synthesis means that receives the collation code to generate a plurality of voices, chimes or melodies and with a means coping with the fingerprint pattern by each collation code.
